The Hero’s Journey

Experiences during the fast-paced biochemical, physiological, and neurological changes of adolescence can be acutely formative and tender.

Increasing responsibilities, exposure, and realizing a sense of identity and social location through comparison to peers can cause anxiety, depression, shame, and internalization.

Secure bonds with trusted adults are foundational to support and stability for young people.

At the same time, it can be confusing and overwhelming to negotiate needs around freedom and acceptance for the experimentation necessary to developing morals, boundaries, and self-confidence.

I offer teens a dedicated private space to be heard, respected, and resourced with warmth, attunement, and gentleness. Art projects, fidgets, stims, and other regulating / expressive activities are welcome compliments during sessions.
